Life speeds by so quickly and before I know it my precious little baby is now a big boy. A big boy with thoughts and opinions all his own many times I fight the urge to chuckle when scolding him… well, because my kid is hilarious! I often think of the man he will be one day be yes, I know he is only 2 but I am Type A remember… I hope to instill in him at even this age how to be a good person.
We start each morning with his morning pledge. Since his first day at daycare I’ve recited it to him and as he gets older he will recite it to me. His pledge really resonates with me as well and helps to start my day off in the right direction with the right attitude.
I thank God for waking me up today
Today will be a good day
Today I will be empowered
I have been blessed with the tools to be successful
I will ask questions when I do not understand
Should I be confronted with a problem or a conflict, I will think before I react
I will ignore all negative influences throughout the day
I am extremely proud to be the next generation of Christian leaders
I accept the responsibility and I love the challenge
I hope to teach him that great minds discuss ideas and he learns that two things matter: honesty and respect. I hope I am able to instill in him to be kind, for everyone he meets is fighting a hard battle. I hope he sees that if he does not step forward, he will always be in the same place. I hope he learns the valuable lesson that words are powerful and to use them wisely. And I pray he learns that all great achievements require time.
I know to teach my son I must learn and live them. Most of these lessons are deep in my bones as I was taught them from a young age as well; a few however, have taken a little more time to catch on.

I love this and You. That muddy to have such a good hearted friend💓
