Inspiring is Purpose

I met a girl, smart and charming, enthusiastic and sweet.  She has a kindred spirit and an old soul; she is energetically encouraging while worlds of wisdom just naturally flows through her.  She first caught my eye while I mindlessly scrolled through my social media, as though I had nothing better to do… when I came upon the user name: inspiring_is_purpose; go ahead check her out on Instagram, you know you want to… she’s pretty awesome…

Now before this starts to get the feels of a girl crush… I have struggled with identifying my purpose.  Then, while in a groggy stooper, zoned in on the glow from my energy sucking phone, this user name just slaps me across the face and awakens me to this epiphany:

“Inspiring others is a worthy cause and it is a purpose” – Caitlyn Miller

Suddenly the idea of mentoring just made sense, it felt right.              – insert Perfect Prudie here, that mean ole’ wench… “but who are you, what experience do you have to mentor?”

While on this self discovery journey, searching for my purpose – which is never-ending by the way, NEVER stop discovering yourself!  I stumbled upon a few more insecurities to add to my already lengthy list.  Allow me to introduce you to a few:

  •  fear of disappointment             *  I want a sense of belonging
  •  fear of not being enough          *  I want to feel important
  •  fear of being forgotten              *  I want to know I have value

I know I am not alone in these fears and wants.  You are not alone either.  These insecurities at times become so big, they cripple us and prevent us from becoming our best selves.   I’ve been there and there is no guarantee I won’t find myself there again… I won’t have all the answers, I may not have any answers at all; but I can offer a balanced perspective, support and understanding.

I want to help others discover their convictions and passions.  I want to share the spirit of camaraderie and the desire to rise above and exceed.  I want to encourage others to do more and to be more.  I want to rally a deep seeded community that shows support and contributes to the empowerment of others.  I want to be apart of something much bigger than myself; I want to live a life of impact.  After all, “getting the most out of life isn’t about how much you keep for yourself but how much you pour into others”  – David Stoddard.
